Student Of The Year 2 Box-Office Collection, Day 2: Ananya Panday, Tiger Shroff And Tara Sutaria's Report Card Shows Growth

After much anticipation Karan Johar’s production Student of the Year 2 released in cinema halls on Friday. The movie that introduces two new faces, Chunky and Bhavna Panday’s daughter Ananya and Tara Sutaria alongside Tiger Shroff started off on a decent note at the box-office. It did a business of Rs 12.06 crore on day 1.
Now, the day 2 figures are here and the movie has registered a growth of 16% as it has raked in Rs 14.02 crore on Saturday, taking the total two day business to Rs 26.08 crore. The movie is doing well on the box-office front in comparison to the first part that starred Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in it. SOTY 2 should further grow on Sunday, but the numbers could get affected due to IPL final.
Meanwhile, SpotboyE.com Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film 3 stars and went all praise for the trio, Ananya securing the top spot especially. He wrote, “Planning to see Student Of The Year 2? Go for it. You won't get bored. The film starts off on a peppermint note until the triangle between Tara Sutaria-Tiger Shroff-Ananya Panday is firmly formed, but after that, it has its fair share of twists, turns and predictability too, but I wasn't tempted to browse through my WhatsApp during its run and I think I have told you if it's sufficiently engaging in totality or not.”
